Sí TV Playwriting Award
The Sí TV Latino Playwriting Award is dedicated to the
desire to stimulate the voices of young Latino playwrights in
America. The award will be presented to the author of the best
student-written play by a Latino student playwright participating
in the KC/ACTF.
The Sí TV Playwriting Award recipient will
receive $2,500 and an internship to a prestigious playwriting
retreat program.
Dramatic Publishing Company will present the
awarded playwright with an offer of a contract to publish, license,
and market the awarded play.
A grant of $500 will be made to the theater department of the
college or university producing the award-awarded play.
Sí TV is the nation’s first television programming
service designed specifically for English dominant/bilingual Latino
viewers. Sí TV’s mission is to support the growth
of Latino entertainment and create new outlets and platforms for
the growing English language Latino market. Please refer to the

Mr. Lopez recived a cash scholarship of $2500.00, a fellowship to attend
the O'Neill Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre
Center, and an offer to publish, license and market his play.
