Anchorage Press Theatre for Youth Playwriting Award and Children's Theatre Foundation of America Fellowship

The Anchorage Press Theatre for Youth Playwriting Award for the best Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival student-written play or adaptation on a theme appealing to young people from kindergarten through 12th grades. Special consideration is given to scripts which emphasize the growth of the central character.

Anchorage Press Award to winning playwright: $1000 to the playwright and a publication contract may be offered to the winning playwright by Anchorage Press.

Children's Theatre Foundation of America Fellowship for the Winning Playwright: The winning playwright receives a fellowship to attend the Bonderman IUPUI National Youth Theatre Playwriting Development Workshop and Symposium. The $1,250 Fellowship covers travel, living expenses, per diem, and related Festival costs, if any. This important "second step" opportunity enables the playwright to further refine his/her writing skills and to observe professionals at work on their craft.

Anchorage Press will be involved in the selection process of the winning script.
