KCACTF National Festival Faculty Fellowships

One faculty member from each of the eight regions will be invited to participate in the National KCACTF Festival at the Kennedy Center, April 16-22, 2007. The specific theatre disciplines of these faculty members will rotate annually, by region, between these areas: directors, designers, critics, playwrights, and teachers of acting.

This year in the rotation, Region I is scheduled to award an outstanding teacher of design who will attend the National Festival April 16-22, 2007, and participate in master classes in design in recognition for her/his commitment to the development of young theatre artists.

This award includes travel, lodging and per diem expenses, as well as attendance at KCACTF National Festival workshops and performances.

If you are interested in self-nominating, please apply by sending the following materials:

• A letter of application detailing your accomplishments as a teacher of design. Be sure to include a statement concerning why you are interested in participating in the National Festival and the ways in which you believe it may contribute to your professional growth.



• Be sure your application details your participation, and your institution's participation, in KCACTF activities.



• Affirm your availability for the National KCACTF Festival in Washington D.C., April 16-22, 2007.



• Include a complete curriculum vita, and resume. Please do not include materials that must be returned.



• Reference letters are not required, but are suggested.



• You may nominate someone other than yourself for the fellowship, but to do so, please be sure to have the nominee's permission first and include all of their materials listed above.
