Tech Olympics

Sponsored by the New England Section of the United States Institute for Theater Technology.

The Tech Olympics are typically held on Saturday of the American College Theater Festival. Check schedule for exact time and place.

Events will include:
1. Hanging and focus of a lighting instrument
2. Screw long screws into wood
3. Knot tying: Bowline and clove hitch
4. Understanding drafting (plans, sections, elevations) and reading a scale ruler
5. Fast costume change
6. Repairing or sewing snap, hem or other small project

Winners will be determined by their speed, accuracy and care.
First prize is an award certificate and 50 dollars.
Certificates are given to the top two winners.

Eligibility:

1. Any college or university student interested in the performing arts and registered to attend ACTF.
